Smoke Detectors

As I was wakened to a sounding (not chirping) smoke detector in my garage it got me thinking about how many people actually have a smoke detector in there garage. Luckily for me there wasn't a fire and I believe it was just dust particles. Having a smoke detector in your garage may give you the few extra seconds you need in order to get out of the house. If you have gas in your house I would recommend buying a carbon monoxide/smoke detector combo. When placing smoke detectors @ the house don't forget to include the attic.
