Did you know you should be watering your Foundation to your home during Hot & Dry Weather.
While our area has been recording record breaking heat it is important to remember that the soil and foundation around your home needs to stay moist and watered.
The foundation is one of the first things set when building a house. Concrete is poured and reinforced with steel rods. The structure serves as the ground floor of the house and supports everything that sits on it.
If the soil around your foundation gets dry it can shrink and settle causing the foundation to crack. If a foundation cracks it can cause the floors and walls of your home to crack, cracks on your walls, cracks in your window frames, and doors not to shut in your home.
It is recommended to make sure your foundation and area around your foundation is watered for 15-20 min. three times a week either with a garden hose or a soaker hose.
You will want to be careful that you do not over water your foundation as that can cause foundation issues too.
